Robert J. Rodriguez "Roddy"
June 2, 1949 - December 10, 2006

Bob was one of the original charter members of the S. F. Northstars M. C.

"About 1975, we had a semi-formal Christmas party at a yuppie hall over in Mill Valley, that was when 'streaking' was popular...needless to say, Bob (Roddy) went outside, stripped naked and ran through the hall in the old birthday suit... I haven't seen the equivalent misconduct since!!Rene LaPrevotte

From the S. F. Chronicle

"Bob was born in San Francisco, CA on June 2, 1949 and passed away on December 10, 2006. The eldest of two children to Fred (who preceded him in death), and Carmen. Bob is survived by his brother John (Shirley) and their children, Erica and Bryan. He attended Sacred Heart High School and went on to the San Francisco Police Academy. Bob was a Police Officer for eight years serving at Potrero Station, park and beach patrol, vice unit and Southern station. He received awards, commendations and Medals of Valor. Upon retiring on disability, Bob began a career in the hotel industry which began in security. Eventually finding his niche managing the construction of new properties and assembling the entire staff. During this period Bob met Maureen, his wife of over 14 years and was embraced wholeheartedly by her family: Joe and Anne Harrington (Anne preceded him in death) and siblings: Joanne (Stu), Chris (Kevin) and Tom (Karyn); nieces and nephews, Austin, Vanessa, Josh, Ross and Jack. In 1999, Bob suffered a massive stroke and began the third stage of his life. With tremendous bravery, humor and the support of his family he was able to enjoy a full and meaningful life. During this time he was blessed with three beautiful grandchildren, Alivia and Hudson (children of daughter, Kerry and Richard Graham) and Bobby (son of daughter, Kelly and Kenny Corley)

Bob truly lived for today, he never missed an opportunity to make those around him feel special with his words and actions. His favorite phrase and one he shared often, was "I Love You". A celebration of Bob's Life will be held December 17, 2006 at 1:00 at The Embassy Suites in San Rafael. Donations in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Petaluma.
