Baja by Motorcycle, March 2004

Then misfortune befell us. Debb and Phil were riding ahead as their KLRs with skinny knobbies handled way better than my fat pig BMW with wide street tires and too much weight.

Debb's bike got squirrely, swung the rear way out to the left, then hooked up and shot Debb off the road. She hung on as the bike's front wheel dropped into the ditch, and stuck with it as the bike flipped completely upside down in the soft dirt with Debb underneath it.

Fortunately, she wasn't hurt other than a few minor bruises and a sprained thumb.
